So here we have one of the new iOS games out for the iPhone/iPad. First glance and first thought: Contra for the iPhone. As anyone I was readily stoked for the release. It looks clean but does not flow or have the speed and pace I was hoping for. I found it difficult to shoot exactly where I wanted. You can only shoot forward, up, down, and 45 degree angles. I was hoping it would have been a little smoother on the aiming but it suits well.
Theres 7 Different weapons, Lots and lots of bosses, not to many different enemies, and in app purchases for gems to get quicker upgrade.
Over all, its a slick little clone, Worth 2 bucks, if it was smoother and added multiplayer would make for a superb iOS game
It definitely brings back the days playing Contra, with the 8-Bits and the rope climbing and the monsters. Sigh* good times. Over all. 4/5 Stars.
